We don’t run a backend — your media stays on your device.
This document explains how the app (“we”, “us”) handles information. It is for information only and not legal advice.

1) Scope

This Policy applies to users of the Android app and covers all features: timestamp watermark, GPS/geo‑stamp, document scanning to PDF/JPG, Barcode/QR reader, and ad‑supported monetization via Google AdMob.

2) Core Principles

  • Data minimization: We process data on‑device whenever possible.
  • No backend server: We do not operate our own cloud/backend to store your content. Your photos/videos/documents remain on your device unless you choose to share them.
  • Transparency & control: You can enable/disable Android permissions (Camera, Location, Photos/Media/Files) at any time in your device settings.

3) What the app processes

3.1 Content you create (on‑device)

  • Timestamped photos/videos: Created with the device camera. If GPS is enabled, coordinates/address are used only to render text/watermark onto the media. We do not transmit your media or coordinates to our servers (we have none).
  • Scanned documents (PDF/JPG): Processed on‑device and saved locally on your device until you delete them.
  • Barcode/QR data: Decoded locally and, if you choose, overlaid onto the image or copied to clipboard. Not sent to us.

If you share files through third‑party apps/services, their privacy policies apply.

3.2 Android permissions & purpose

  • Camera: Capture photos/videos to add timestamps/overlays.
  • Location (GPS/Network): If enabled, used to print location (coordinates/address) on your media.
  • Photos/Media/Files (storage): Read/write files when shooting, scanning, or exporting PDFs.
  • (Optional) Microphone: Only when recording videos with audio; not used for voice recognition.
  • Internet: Load ads from Google AdMob and check for updates.
You can decline individual permissions; the corresponding features may not function.

3.3 Technical data inside the app

The app may create local crash/error logs to help diagnose problems on your device. We do not upload these logs to our own servers.

4) Advertising & third parties

4.1 Google AdMob (required for ads)

The app uses Google AdMob to display Banner, Interstitial, and Rewarded ads. When ads load, Google and its ad partners may collect or process information such as: Advertising ID (AAID), IP address, device model/OS, language, ad performance, and approximate location for ad personalization, frequency capping, fraud prevention, and measurement.

You can limit/reset the Advertising ID and turn off ad personalization in Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID / Opt out of Ads Personalization (wording may vary).
  • Google’s processing is governed by Google/AdMob’s own Privacy Policy and Terms.
  • We do not share your photos, videos, or documents with AdMob—only ad‑related signals handled by the Ad SDK.

4.2 Other SDKs/services

We do not integrate third‑party analytics or crash reporting SDKs at this time. If we add any in the future, we will update this Policy and, where required, request consent.

5) No accounts, no login, no data resale

  • The app does not create user accounts or require sign‑in.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

6) Legal bases (GDPR/UK GDPR)

  • Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): to provide core features (camera/location/storage processing).
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): app security, fraud prevention, and ensuring service reliability.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): where required for personalized advertising or cookies‑like technologies. Where applicable, you may see a consent prompt (e.g., Google’s User Messaging Platform).

7) Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, rectify, restrict, object to, or delete personal data we control. Because we do not store your media or location data on our servers, most data resides on your device—you can manage or delete it locally.

For data processed by Google AdMob, please review your Google account/Android ad settings and Google’s privacy resources.

8) California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

  • We do not sell personal information as defined by CCPA.
  • Ad‑supported processing by AdMob may constitute cross‑context behavioral advertising; you can opt out via Android/Google ad settings noted above.

9) Children’s privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child provided information, please contact us so we can assist with deletion.

10) Data retention

  • On‑device content (photos/videos/PDFs/QR results): kept only on your device until you delete it.
  • Ad data: retained by Google/AdMob per their policies; we do not control those retention periods.

11) Security

We use reasonable software safeguards; however, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please be cautious when sharing files externally.

12) International transfers

Ad requests and related processing by Google/AdMob may occur on servers outside your country. Please refer to Google’s documentation for details on transfer mechanisms.

13) Sharing of data

We do not share your content with third parties. Ad‑related signals are handled directly by Google/AdMob as described above. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

14) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the new effective date above. Significant changes will be highlighted in‑app or via the store listing where feasible.

Final disclosure on the Play Console may differ based on how you configure SDKs (e.g., personalized vs. non-personalized ads, consent status) and future features. Please review your actual implementation before submitting.
